Half Moon is a welcoming yoga studio in the heart of Langley Village on South Whidbey Island, offering classes at all levels throughout the day and week. Come take a yoga basics class, an early evening restorative session, or a more vigorous hatha yoga class on a weekend morning or in the early evening. Certified teachers offer a variety of classes including gentle yoga, restorative yoga, yoga stretch, centering yoga, and weekend workshops.
Yoga teachers include Valerie Easton, Joni Takanikos, Michele Duncan King, and Diana Deering, with Sarah Manchester offering meditation practice.
Half Moon Classes for Community is a our new-in-2016 initiative to give back to the South Whidbey community that has so nurtured our yoga studio. We will be offering benefit classes for Whidbey non-profits and donating part of the proceeds to a charity of choice. We encourage students and friends of Half Moon yoga to use the studio to teach, and to raise money for their charity of choice; in turn we'll reduce the rent, or not charge any rent for classes that are themselves gifts to the community. The first recipients of HM Classes for Community include Mother Mentors of Whidbey Island, CADA—Citizens Against Domestic and Sexual Abuse, and Hedgebrook. Please join us in supporting our amazing Whidbey island community, and watch us grow this new initiative.
We'd always wished we could go to a yoga studio that already existed like this in Langley. So we decided to create it. It's not like we invented anything. Asana has been around for centuries. The love song was already written; we're just singing it at Half Moon.
