Anne Petersen. Finding the joyous, dynamic stillness inside ourselves is the foundation of my classes. Whether teaching Gentle/Restorative yoga or Yoga dance, I set out to provide a supportive, nurturing environment, emphasizing awareness of body sensations as we move and breathe, becoming more grounded and vibrant. Certified in traditional Hatha, Yogakids, Yoga4Teens, and soon Yogadance. Inspired by Andrea Farmer, Judith Lasater, Donna Farhi and Erich Schiffman. Classes

NEW CLASS: Yoga Essentials

A six-class series on Mondays 5:30 - 6:45, April 9 - May 14; $90, pre-registration required. This is a nurturing, encouraging class for those new to yoga or anyone who wants to revisit the essentials of the practice. This class will prepare you for any of our ongoing classes.

Gentle/Restorative

Class begins with gentle floor asana and/or chair yoga to help warm up the back and the joints. Three-quarters of the class is dedicated to Restorative poses. Postures and props are selected that support complete muscle relaxation and slow down the nervous system. This class will recharge and nourish you after a long work-week, illness or injury. Everyone welcome.

Hatha Yoga

An eclectic class with emphasis on aligning and listening to the body’s response to movement and breath. Class may include static and flow pose sequences, strengthening, meditation, gentle inversions and conscious relaxation. All levels welcome.

Yoga Basics

A class for anyone new to yoga or wanting to review and refresh their practice. Class is slow-paced, with plenty of support and description to make you feel safe, supported and wanting to do Yoga more and more.

Teen Yoga

For ages 12-18, engaging the teen body, mind and spirit, paced for fun, noncompetitive, strengthening, relaxing all with music you will enjoy.

Yogakids

For children ages 8-11, Games, story and creative movement makes Yoga come alive for children. Class is playful and relaxing, strengthening, yet noncompetitive, builds grace and self-esteem.

Family Yoga

Time to share yoga with your little ones, for ages 4-7 with an adult. Thematic-based class, with plenty of movement, games, song and cuddling.
